Located at 64 West Home Street, Theta Nu has achieved 91 years of continuous
sisterhood. We currently have 45 active members and over 600 alumnae.
Theta Nu strives to be a well-rounded
sorority, emphasizing four major areas of college life, namely:
- Social Life - We feel
that there is more to college than studying and so we stress the
importance of social participation in the Otterbein community. Our
involvement ranges from Greek community events, academic department
events, resident life events, other college arranged activities and
many more. Many of our members hold part time and full time jobs as
well.
- Academics - Theta Nu has
a tradition of high scholastic achievement. We respect the pursuit of
knowledge as the prime purpose of college life and do all we can to
encourage this attainment. We have a good collection of scholarship
trophies awarded to us over the years at our house.
- Religion - This is very
personal, yet we feel, a very necessary and important part of each
member's life. The need to have faith in some higher being or ideal is
recognized and we respect each individual's feelings in this matter.
- Athletics - We believe
that athletic team involvement is an important part in the growth of
the individual. We support our members that participate in Otterbein's
athletic program as well as participate in all sorority intramural
activities.
