Clements Hall
Megan Clawson   Hello! I'm Megan Clawson, Hall Director of Clements hall and a first year MA student at The Ohio State University. Go BUCKS!!! I am pursuing a master's in Higher Ed. and Student Affairs. I am thrilled to be living and working here at Otterbein while attending OSU! As an undergraduate, I attended Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth, TX, where I majored in biology and minored in music. GO HORNED FROGS!!! Prior to coming to the Columbus area I taught 5th grade math/science at an elementary school in my hometown of Weatherford, TX. GO 'ROOS!!! My first job out of college, however, was working as a lab technician in a urine drug-testing lab . . . yuck! In my spare time, I enjoy reading, jogging, watching movies, and anything related to music or the arts in general. I play the oboe, am learning to play the guitar, and have enjoyed singing in my church choir.
Commons on Home and Park Streets
Jeff Akers Hello Otterbein! I'm Jeff Akers and I'm the Hall Director of the Commons. In addition, I serve as the Assistant Director of Residence Life and Theme House Coordinator. This is my first year at Otterbein and I'm lovin' it. I live with my beautiful wife in the Commons on Park St. I received a BA in Music from Ashland University in 2005 and a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Kent State University in 2007. I love working out, playing basketball and soccer, traveling to see family, acting crazy around my three nieces, playing the piano, drums, and singing. If you have any questions, stop by Student Affairs in the rear of Hanby Hall!
Davis Hall and Davis Annex
Chris Hempfling   My name is Chris Hempfling and I am the Hall Director of Davis Complex. In addition, I am also the Assistant Director of the Center for Community Engagement, working to increase our student participation in community service. I'm returning to Davis Complex and looking forward to an exciting second year. I received a political science degree from The Ohio State University, and I am currently working on an MBA from Otterbein... Go Otters! I love to get outside, play some golf, ride my motorcycle, and watch college football. Come over to Davis, get to know us, and hang out with the coolest people at Otterbein!
Dunlap King Hall
Brian Wagner   Hola, Cheers, Ciao . . . My name is Brian Wagner and I am the Hall Director of Dunlap-King Hall. This is currently my second year at Otterbein College as the Residence Hall Director of Dunlap-King and the Arts Appreciation Program within the building. In addition to my duties at Otterbein, I am a second year Graduate student at The Ohio State University in their Higher Education and Student Affairs program. My time at Ohio State is a return to my alma mater after graduating from Ohio State in 2001 with my Bachelor's Degree in Communication. During my time off, I like to travel and take a lot of pictures. This summer, I studied in Lancaster, England for six weeks and loved much of my time abroad as well as traveled to Ireland, Scotland, Italy, and Spain during my 9 weeks of travels. As an example of my love for picture taking, I estimate that I took over 4000 pictures during my time abroad this summer. I wish everyone a great 2007-2008 year and I am willing to share any stories or pictures from my travels this summer to anyone interested. Take care.
Engle, Garst and Scott Halls
Andrea Zick   Hello, I am Andrea Zick (aka JZ) from the State of Michigan. I am the new Assistant Director of the Center for Student Involvement and the Hall Director in the Triad. I work closely with Orientation, New Student Weekend and the Campus Center operations. I love exploring Columbus, running, eating ice cream, hanging out with friends and family, football games, hanging out in the Triad and meeting new people. I have a BA from Aquinas College and my Masters in College Student Affairs Leadership.
Hanby Hall
Sarah Martindell   I'm Sarah Martindell, the Hall Director of Hanby Hall and a senior at this lovely institute. I'm majoring in English (creative writing concentration) with a minor in religion. I copy edit for Quiz & Quill, Otterbein's literary magazine, and I'm also hoping to copy-edit for the Tan & Cardinal, our campus newspaper. I actively participate in Otterbein Christian Fellowship and enjoy the sense of community there. So far the best class I've taken at Otterbein was The Life and Teachings of Jesus, taught by Dr. Glenna Jackson. I highly recommend it and her. Other than that, I enjoy rereading Gone with the Wind, playing the piano (this is my 14th year!), and eating blueberry-glazed donuts from Schneider's Bakery. Mmmmm.
