Opening and Closing Dates, 2007-2008 Academic Year

A student's housing contract is only in effect for the academic year and only when classes are in session. The housing contract does not provide accommodations during winter and spring breaks. During those breaks, students may keep their belongings in their room.

Students may request to stay on campus during these break periods. If approved, students will be assessed an additional charge and be required to move to a break housing location. More information about break housing options, including summer housing options, will be made available closer to each break. During Summer Closing students must vacate their room and remove all of their belongings.

Fall Opening

  • Student moving in to new student housing or early arrivals should follow the instructions included in their packets.
  • Halls open Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. for returning students.

Winter Break

  • Halls close Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 4:00 p.m.
  • Halls reopen Sunday, January 6, 2008 at 3:00 p.m.

Spring Break

  • Halls close Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 4:00 p.m.
  • Halls open Sunday, March 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.

Easter Break

  • Easter is during Spring Break, therefore the halls will be closed. 

Summer Closing

  • Halls close Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 4:00 a.m.
  • Commons Apartments close Monday, June 16, 2008 at noon 

Opening and Closing Dates, 2008-2009 Academic Year

Fall Quarter Opening/Closing

  • Students moving into new student housing or are early arrivals should follow the instructions included in their packets.
  • The residence halls open on Saturday, September 13 for returning students.
  • The residence halls will close on Wednesday, November 26 @ 4:00 p.m. for Winter Break

Winter Quarter Opening/Closing

  • The residence halls will open at the conclusion of Winter Break on Sunday, January 4 @ 2:00 p.m.
  • The residence halls will close on Wednesday, March 18 for Spring Break @ 4:00 p.m.

Spring Quarter Opening/Closing

  • The residence halls will open on Sunday, March 30 at the conclusion of Spring Break @ 2:00 p.m.
  • The residence halls will close for Summer Break on Wednesday, June 10 @ 4:00 p.m.
  • The Commons Apartments will close on Monday, June 15 @ Noon
