Accounting Club
This organization is comprised of accounting majors. The Accounting Club invites accounting professionals to campus to speak about the profession and internships from diverse business sectors: public accounting, banking, industry, government, and corporate accounting.
Actuarial Club of Otterbein College
This club educates students about the actuarial profession and furthers the goals of those students who are interested in pursuing a career in actuarial science.
American Chemical Society Student Affiliate (ACSSA)
This organization allows students of chemical science to become better acquainted, to secure the intellectual stimulation that arises from professional association, to obtain experience in preparing and presenting technical material before chemical audiences, to foster a professional spirit among the members, to instill a professional pride in the chemical sciences, and to foster an awareness of the responsibilities and challenges of the modern chemist.
Association for Computing Machinery
This organization promotes knowledge of the science, design, development, construction, language and applications of modern computing machinery.
Cap and Dagger
The Cap and Dagger is Otterbein's local dramatic society, founded in 1922. The members provide leadership for major productions and independent workshops of the Otterbein College Theatre. All students are eligible for membership which is based on a point system. Points are earned for work on or behind stage. Activities include departmental common hours, event outings, and an end-of-year awards banquet.
Host and Tour
Host and Tour is a great way to be involved on campus and to tell future Otterbein students about your Otterbein experience. The Admissions Office offers this opportunity for outgoing students in all majors to give campus tours to prospective students and their families.
MBA Student Association
The MBA Student Organization was formed to address the needs and goals of the MBA student body through networking, exploring new business or community opportunities and other programming that further enriches the MBA experience. All students are invited to participate in this organization.
Music and Entertainment Industry Student Association (MEISA)
The Music and Entertainment Industry Student Association (MEISA) is an organization oriented toward the business/industry aspects of music. Music students enrolled in the interdisciplinary program in Music and Business are strongly encouraged to join, but the organization is open to all students. MEISA is affiliated nationally with the Music and Entertainment Industry Educators Association (MEIEA). MEISA meets once a week, participates in on-campus projects, goes on field trips, performs community service activities, and attends the national convention every year.
Ohio Collegiate Music Education Association (O.C.M.E.A.)
OCMEA strives to give music education students a professional identity during their college years. O.C.M.E.A. also provides networking opportunities with both fellow students and professionals in the field. Activities include a music education convention, new teacher panel discussions, guest speakers, mini-workshops with other college chapters and a variety of social events. Membership in this organization is mandatory for all music education students.
Otterbein College Student Nurses' Association (OCSNA)
OCSNA is a student branch of the national (NSNA) and state (OSNA) Student Nurses' Associations. Its major goals are to contribute to nursing education, to provide programs of professional interest and concerns, and to aid in the development of the whole person and his/her professional role. OCSNA provides speakers, fundraisers, and service opportunities to help meet these goals.
Otterbein Collegiate Middle Level Association (OCMLA)
OCMLA is a professional educational organization for college students preparing to become middle level teachers, and an affiliate of the National Middle School Association. The aim of this organization is to advance and support appropriate middle level education while promoting collegiate participation at national, state, and regional middle level conferences. Membership is open to all education majors.
Otterbein Student Education Association (OSEA)
The National Education Association Student Program is open to any Otterbein student interested in education. A student branch of the national and state organization, O.S.E.A. provides speakers, workshops, and service opportunities to broaden the learning experiences of the education major.
Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA)
The PRSSA is a pre-professional organization designed for students who are interested in learning more about the field of public relations. Students from all majors are welcome to join. The organization features speakers from a variety of public relations settings, mentorships with professionals, attendance at local, regional and national conferences and internship experiences. The Otterbein chapter is affiliated with the Central Ohio (professional) PRSA Chapter.
