AEGIS - OC Humanities Journal
Aegis is a multilingual journal designed to catalyze a deeper critical appreciation of the humanities at Otterbein College. The journal is published once yearly in the spring and includes Otterbein student's scholarly essays and book reviews that advance the presence and values of the humanities on campus and beyond. Submissions are read by a student panel during winter quarter to decide which selections will be published. For more information on joining the board or submitting, please contact Dr. Eisenstein.
Quiz & Quill
Quiz & Quill is a creative writing group open to all students. Quiz & Quill publishes a chapbook each fall, a spring magazine, and holds several creative writing contests and literary readings. Call x1211 for a writing contest brochure or more information.
Sibyl - School Yearbook
Sibyl is Otterbein's yearbook and it captures a pictorial history of the College. It is filled with pictures and copy describing a year at Otterbein. Any student may become a member of the Sibyl staff by contacting the editor or advisor. Course credit is also available for working on the Sibyl.
Tan & Cardinal
The Tan & Cardinal is Otterbein's student-run newspaper. The paper offers a great resume boost with practical experience in writing and editing stories, layout and graphics design, advertising, web design, photography with a state-of-the-art lab and software technology. General staff meetings are held at 4 p.m. on Mondays in Towers Hall, Room 116. No experience is needed to participate. Website.
WOBN - College Radio Station
WOBN operates at 101.5 FM. We play a wide variety of music showcase programs, as well as, a core format of alternative music. We also broadcast over 100 sporting events each year (football, basketball, baseball, soccer) and have news and talk shows. You don't have to have experience or be a broadcast major to be involved. You can be trained to go "on air" or help in promotions, sports, news or public service. Just come to the meetings or stop in our studios in the Communication Building and we'll do the rest!
WOCC TV-3 - College Televison Station
WOCC TV3 is a student operated cable station that is owned and supported by the City of Westerville. A well-equipped control room, studio, and a WOCC remote production van provides the resources to produce programming focusing on Westerville, Otterbein and the surrounding community. All Otterbein students are invited to participate in the station. Interested students may attend the weekly organizational meeting held in the WOCC studio.
