Summer at Otterbein
Learn something new this Summer at Otterbein.
Summer is not
off-season at Otterbein, where the campus is alive with Summer Camps
for kids and adults, Athletic Camps for kids and Otterbein Summer
Theatre productions. Summer is also growing season at our Community
Garden!
Kids might think it isn't possible to learn AND have fun.
We can prove them wrong! Our popular summer camps for kids brings fun
and games into the mix as kids learn about topics like Movie of Your Mind: Poetry, Fiction & Digital Storytelling; Horsing Around: An Otterbein Equine Science Camp; Lights Out, Scene Change: A Stage Management and Technical Theatre Camp; and Creativity & Collaboration: A Day in the Studio.
This
year, we brought adult learners to campus for summer camps, too. Adult
Summer Camps included on-campus opportunities taught by Otterbein
professors, like Create Your Legacy: Enriching Your Life Through Memories and Storytelling; Horsing Around: An Otterbein Equine Science Camp; and OP2: Operation Physics for Central Ohio Middle School Teachers
(funded by the Ohio Board of Regents). Additionally, an off-campus
teacher education workshop was held at Cuyahoga National Park this
summer called Reading the Earth: the Language of Nature (funded by the Ohio Humanities Council and the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation).
