Becky Smith, ’08, Administrative Assistant, Office of Alumni & Family Engagement
I received my associate degree in Business from Central Ohio Technical College where I then worked from 2009 to 2014 in the Office of Student Life at Central Ohio Technical College and The Ohio State University Newark. I’m still an active member of the COTC Alumni Council.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication with a minor in Business Administration from Otterbein “College” in December of 2008. In June of 2019, I was delighted to join the staff in Alumni & Family Engagement at Otterbein.
While going to college as an adult student, I fell in love with higher education and its many roles in molding our future generations. I enjoy working at a University and feel I am learning every day. In my life I’ve had some interesting jobs, from party planning, welding lightening fixtures, manufacturing fish bait fizzes, to payroll and H.R., but Otterbein feels like Family!
In my current role, I help others in many ways: organizing, communicating, reporting, record keeping, event planning, mailings, and other duties as assigned.
