Robert Becker, Class of 1975

Robert Becker ’75 died November 7, 2022. He was born on July 31, 1953, to the late John ’50 and Marian Havens ’50 Becker.
He graduated from Otterbein College with a BA in History and English. During his time at Otterbein, he was a part of both the history club along with Zeta Phi (Zeta) fraternity.
He went on to attend the University of Colorado law school and was awarded a J.D. degree. While there, Robert was a member of the winning team of the 1980 Rothgerber Moot Court Competition and was the winner of the 1980 Austin W Scott, Jr. Award (given annually to the individual making the best oral argument in the final round of this competition).
After working for a law firm in Denver for many years, he found another niche in on-line book sales. He also enjoyed politics and sports. He enjoyed immensely participating in trivia competitions, but above all he was passionate about movies and was quite knowledgeable in this field.
He is survived by his sister Becky Becker ’77 and his cousin Carol Hudson ‘74
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his aunt Marilou Daily Becker ’48 and his uncle Carl Becker ’49.
