Aaron Faulkner

Part-Time Faculty in English as a Second Language

Aaron holds an M.A. in TESOL from the University of Kansas and a B.A. in English from MVNU. Aaron has also received teaching certification from Ohio Dominican University and the Cambridge CELTA (Certificate for English Language Teaching to Adults) from IH in London, England. Aaron has taught in Eastern Europe, England, Virginia, and Kansas City. His professional interest is in the area of grammar.

ESL Program Director

Erin Holt Johnson has coordinated the ESL program at Otterbein University since its start in 2011. She has a B.A. in Linguistics from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and an M.A. in English: TESOL from Minnesota State University. Elizabeth has worked with English as a foreign language students for almost a decade, guiding student populations from many continents in settings as diverse as refugee centers, universities and after school language centers. She has taught in America, Turkey, Morocco, and China. Her specialties include academic and creative writing, phonetics and pronunciation, as well as grammar and reading skills. Gwendolyn DeRosa

Adjunct Faculty & Writing Coordinator

Gwendolyn G. DeRosa is the ESL Program Writing Coordinator. Mrs. DeRosa also designs online, content-based, ESL courses for students in Shanghai, China. She is the editor of the ESL Program’s magazine, The Howl. She regularly teaches Intro to Journalism, Creative Writing, Studies in American History, Marginalized Voices in American Literature, and Sociolinguistics.
