Museum & Galleries Assistant & Collections Registrar
Chaz O’Neil oversees all the installations for the Miller Gallery, Fisher Gallery, and The Frank Museum of Art. He also coordinates and maintains the Art Collection Campus Loan Program. Chaz has served as an adjunct Drawing instructor, and in May 2018 he traveled to Shanghai China to teach a foundation drawing course as part of the official Otterbein—Shanghai Publishing Printing College partnership.
For the past 13 years Chaz has worked at the Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition, having starting his affiliation with the program as an Intern while a student at Otterbein. He currently serves as the Assistant Director. The Fine Arts Exhibition is one of the largest juried shows in the state, with over 1,500 entries annually and over $20,000 in Awards given, while matching that dollar amount in sales annually. He often recruits Otterbein students as Gallery Assistants for the summer to learn the process of executing a large scale exhibition that hosts nearly 45,000 visitors.
Chaz also is a practicing artist. His work has been shown in group and juried shows around the state, most recently in the Faculty & Staff Exhibition at Otterbein and After Hours: Artwork by State of Ohio Employees at Ohio Arts Council’s Riffle Gallery. He also recently juried a fundraising exhibition titled, An Evening with Art Exhibition, for the Columbus Museum of Art’s Women’s Board. Recently, Chaz was named to two artist-in-residence programs in Spain and Germany in Fall 2019.
