Cheryl Herbert has over 40 years of experience in the healthcare industry.  She began her career as a nurse in Columbus and soon progressed to supervisory and management roles.  This led to a position in Marion beginning in 1990 as a director of nursing at MedCenter Hospital and becoming president of that organization in 1997.  Herbert joined OhioHealth in 1998 as MedCenter Hospital merged with Marion General Hospital and served as a vice-president of the consolidated entity.  In her years with OhioHealth, she has served as president of two hospitals, including Dublin Methodist Hospital where she led the construction and opening of the facility in 2008.  In 2011, she became a Senior Vice President and has served in a variety of roles since that time.  Herbert earned a bachelor’s degree from Capital University and an MBA from Ashland University.  She has served on a number of community boards, including as a member and officer of the Otterbein Board since February 2010.  Herbert also volunteers for several organizations in her community.
