The following information is a general overview of the events and logistics for the day of the Inauguration Cerermony. Getting to Otterbein: Special maps will guide you to the Otterbein campus and reserved parking. GPS address is 1 S. Grove Street, Westerville, OH 43081. (Campus Map)
Parking: Reserved parking will be held for college and university delegates at the Park Street parking lot a convenient walk to Roush Hall for the delegates’ check in and registration. Security personnel and signs will be there to direct you. Accessible parking is available for those who need it. See the Campus Map for more information.
Campus transportation: Shuttle service will run on a continuous loop beginning at 11:30 a.m. between The Point, Astronaut Grove Park and Roush Hall. Student hosts will be at the shuttle stop to assist you.
Delegate tours: Inauguration delegates and their guests are invited to tour the Otterbein campus in the afternoon. Walking tours will leave from Clippinger Hall and last approximately 45 minutes. Please indicate in your RSVP if you would like to go on a tour.
Delegate Hospitality Room and Robing: All delegates are invited to relax and enjoy some light refreshments in room 117 in Roush Hall throughout the day. This location will allow you to hang your academic regalia and will be a secure room for robing and personal belongings that will be staffed during all inauguration events. The room will open at 11:30 a.m.
Academic attire: All delegates in the academic procession are expected to wear academic attire. If you do not have a cap and gown, please contact the school or organization you are representing so that they may provide you with the necessary academic regalia.
Inauguration ceremony: Robing will begin at 3:00 p.m. Each delegate will have an assigned position in the procession according to the year of founding of his/her institution. We ask that you be robed no later than 3:15 p.m. so that we can assure the appropriate order of the procession. Otterbein University staff members will be available to assist you.
The Inaugural Procession will form at 3:30 p.m. and begin the processional at 4:00 p.m. We anticipate the ceremony concluding at 5:30 p.m.
Reception: Following the ceremony, we invite all guests to join us at Roush Hall.
