The Jennings Educators Institute provides Central Ohio teachers the opportunity to refresh and to reimagine teaching and themselves as teacher-learners.
2019 Jennings Educators Institute
What does deep learning look like, and how do we get more of it? How can we be more intentional in advancing the capacities young people need for a highly-ambiguous, rapidly-changing world? How do we nurture deep learning with a focus on the whole child—and with attention to the whole-adults in our buildings? The 2019 Jennings Educators Institute, hosted at Otterbein University, explores these questions and more. Through participatory sessions, educators will acquire strategies to cultivate creativity, critical thinking, trauma-informed approaches, and targeted capacities of thinking.
The three Saturday workshops will be held from 8:00am – 12:00pm on the dates listed below on Otterbein’s campus. Attendance at all three workshops is required to become a Jennings Educators Institute Fellow.
Teachers are recommended to attend the Institute by their Superintendents, Principals, and other school administrators. Recommendations are requested by May 1, 2019. Nominated teachers will be notified via email with a link to an online application form, which will be due from teachers by June 1, 2019.

Teachers who have been recommended by their superintendent, principal, or other school administrators will be sent an invitation to apply to the Jennings Educators Institute. If you wish to attend, but have not yet received an invitation to apply from the Institute, we still encourage you to apply, but also ask that your administrator complete a recommendation, or send us an email with their acknowledgement of your participation.

If interested in attending, please contact the Institute Coordinator.
Space is limited for this Institute and we encourage applying early. Acceptance notifications will be sent late June, 2019. If you have questions about the application or the process, please contact Kristi North at firstname.lastname@example.org
