The Jennings Educators Institute provides Central Ohio teachers the opportunity to refresh and to reimagine teaching and themselves as teacher-learners.

Jennings Educators Institute 2023

What does student “success” look like? How do our learning environments and engagement strategies provide the right conditions for all of our students to succeed in their own unique ways? How will our teaching cultivate the agency needed for students to make choices about and take an active role in their lives, rather than solely being the product of their circumstances?

The 2023 Jennings Educators Institute, hosted at Otterbein University, explores these and related questions while (re)connecting you to your purpose in teaching. Through participatory sessions, teachers will build understanding, skills, and confidence around student agency; self-reflection and its connection to growth; and competencies, mindsets, and values for individual fulfillment, community wellbeing, and student success.

The three Saturday workshops will be held from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on the dates listed below on Otterbein’s campus.

  • Session 1: Saturday, September 30, 2023
  • Session 2: Saturday, October 21, 2023
  • Session 3: Saturday, November 4, 2023
