Renowned for his monumental sculptures, massive public installations, and dramatic theatre designs, Jun Kaneko’s art is immediate and often mind-boggling. Dot in Space invites audiences into a more intimate conversation with the artist’s work, as it pays homage to stillness and space—two essential aspects of Kaneko’s art and process from which his gesture and mark-making emerge. The exhibition features dango, wall slabs, ovals, constructions, and drawings from Kaneko’s historical collection reserves, as well as new work.
