Otterbein University’s student-run radio station, 97.5 FM WOBN, recently completed the process of renewing its Federal Communications Commission (FCC) broadcast license — a strenuous undertaking that Otterbein students have been through many times in the station’s 72 years on air.  Every eight years, the FCC requires all radio stations go through a three-month license renewal process. Otterbein University Flu Shots Funded by Donors

News - November 13, 2020
We know students don't get flu shots regularly — they feel healthy and the hassle of figuring out Mom and Dad's insurance doesn't seem worth it. This year there is a real reason to encourage them, so a group of donors funded free flu shots for all current students, whether they have health insurance or not.  “Otterbein is committed to removing barriers to success for our students. There are many examples, from Student Success and Career Development staff helping students overcome academic challenges to the Promise House addressing food insecurity,” said Michael McGreevey, vice president for institutional advancement. “When…

The Otterbein Department of Art and Art History has opened the University’s museum and gallery spaces this year to the issues of labor justice, the poor working-class, immigration, systemic racism and mothering in poverty with three new exhibitions.   According to Museum and Galleries Director Janice Glowski, the Department wants students to ask where they see themselves in the art, the stories and the exhibition themes. They hope students will allow themselves to be open to change and being uncomfortable because that, Glowski said, is when the greatest learning occurs.  “Part of Otterbein's…
