The Pandemic Portraits Series (2020-present) visually chronicles the Covid-19 pandemic that upended global populations for more than two years. An artifact of our times, the catalog contains one hundred and five curated portraits from the Pandemic Portraits series (5,000+ portraits to date) by award-winning artist Nicholas Hill. Made with black ink and bamboo brush, each portrait uses a page from the New York Times or the Wall Street Journal as its ground.

A 2017 Guggenheim Fellow, Nicholas Hill received the BFA degree from Michigan State University and the MA and MFA degrees from The University of Iowa. He has exhibited his work in over 150 international and national exhibitions, has been awarded numerous international artist residencies, and has curated numerous exhibitions of work by international and national artists. He has had an extensive teaching career, having taught at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, Bethany College, Union College, and is Professor Emeritus at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio. The Pandemic Portraits ongoing series was begun in 2020 and continues.
