From major league Ice Hockey, to friendly disc golf games, there is a winning choice for everyone. Cleveland Brown fans be careful, you will be exposed to teams that win games: side effects can include joy, excitement and bad dancing.

Otterbein Athletics
Otterbein athletics is Westerville athletics, and that’s no surprise when you see how successful we are! In the last four years Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Softball, Men’s and Women’s Tennis, Men’s Golf, Volleyball and Cross Country, Track & Field, Baseball and Wrestling have all won conference titles and gone to nationals. We also won the OAC All Sport’s Governor’s Cup on the women’s side for the first time in our history in 2019. The award recognizes cumulative success across all varsity programs.
Our nationally ranked Equine Team compete across three disciplines: Hunt Seat, Dressage and Eventing. You can even learn to ride at our state of the art equine facilities!
Columbus
Columbus Blue Jackets
Who doesn’t love supporting an underdog? They may be the only team in the league yet to appear in a conference final (sorry for bringing that up Columbus Blue Jackets fans), but just imagine what it would be like being in Columbus when they break that record.
Penguins fans are allowed on campus too… but be warned, you will be outnumbered!
Columbus Crew
With a new stadium being built, this is a good time to be a Crew fan. And with more and more global superstars joining the league, superstars like Zlatan and Rooney will be playing just minutes away from campus every year!
The Crew’s Academy also practice at Memorial Stadium, so you may be seeing the next Cristiano Ronaldo practicing during your time here.
Columbus Clippers
Prefer watching minor league sports? Take in a Triple A baseball game at Huntington Park—a great place to watch America’s pastime. The Clippers won their division title in 2019.
They also do “Dime-a-Dog” nights, where you can enjoy a hotdog for just 10 cents!
Races and Rides
Prefer to play more than watch? Then get involved in Columbus races and rides! From a 5K color run, to the Cap City Half Marathon and the Pelotonia Bike Ride, Columbus has options for everyone from Cardy to our All-American distance runner Claire Lamb.
Pick up leagues
Get involved with our Intramural leagues on campus, or take on Westerville and Columbus with one of their pick-up sports. With tennis, softball, soccer and basketball leagues all available there is something for everyone. We even have dodgeball and disc golf leagues!
And who knows, you may end up winning a $2 million tournament like Otterbein alumni Jeff Gibbs did this year!
