Otterbein Summer Theatre Presents “Snoopy!”

Westerville, OH— The Otterbein Summer Theatre 2018 season will close with the family favorite musical, “Snoopy!” at 7:30 p.m. on July 5; 2 p.m. on July 8, July 15, and July 20; and 8 p.m. on July 6-7, July 12-14, and July 19-21 in the Fritsche Theatre at Cowan Hall, 30 S. Day in, day out, everyone’s favorite beagle looks upon the world from atop his doghouse, but this previous pooch wants to kick up his paws and dance, go to school, write the world’s greatest novel and much more. Whatever this dog wants to do, he does.Musical numbers include “Just One Person,” “Poor Sweet Baby,” “Don’t Be Anything Less (Than Everything You Can Be),” “Edgar Allen Poe” and “Daisy Hill,” plus four more added for the London production: “Hurry Up, Face,” “Mother’s Day,” “Dime A Dozen,” and “When Do The Good Things Start?” The Otterbein Summer Theatre production will be directed by Melissa Lusher with music direction by Dennis Davenport and choreography by Stella Hiatt Kane.“Snoopy!” was created as a sequel to “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” and opened in 1975 at the Little Fox Theatre in San Francisco. The London Version opened at the West End Duchess Theatre on Sept. 20, 1983, and played for 479 performances starring Teddy Kempner as Snoopy.Tickets are $33 each and can be reserved by calling the Otterbein University box office at (614) 823-1109 or purchased online at www.otterbein.edu/drama. The box office is open 12-4 p.m. Monday through Friday and one hour prior to performances. The box office is located in Cowan Hall, 30 S.
