Otterbein Equestrian Collegiate Camp

Otterbein’s Equestrian Collegiate camp is designed to expand a camper’s equine knowledge both on and off the horse. Campers will ride multiple times a day with our experienced team coaches. This camp is designed to get a greater understanding of collegiate riding and showing. This is a competitively priced academic camp that is sure to sharpen your equine skills. Camp will run July 8th through July 11th, 2025. Exact times will be provided once accepted. We ask that campers are either a rising high school sophomore, junior, or senior. Due to limited to limited space and demand, campers must apply for this camp. If accepted, campers will be emailed a link and pass-code to register and pay.

Otterbein University’s Austin E. Knowlton Center for Equine Science, 600 N. Spring Road, Westerville.

Housing

Campers will be supervised by counselors, and will sleep in one of Otterbein’s nicest air conditioned dorm rooms with one other roommate. 2 campers per room, 4 campers per suite. Fresh new pillow, pillow case, two sheets, one towel, one washcloth, and one bar of soap will be provided.

Food

Breakfast and dinner will be provided at Otterbein’s dining hall. Campers will eat at designated times together. Lunch will be provided and eaten at the barn each day. Otterbein can accommodate food allergies and restrictions.

Items to Bring

Snacks, water bottle, sunscreen, multiple changes of clothes (shorts are fine), hair ties for long hair, small personal hand sanitizer, swimsuit, riding boots (over the ankle, flat rubber sole with heel or tall boots), riding helmet (must be astm/sei certified), English riding breeches, and a either short or long sleeved riding tops. Anything else a camper may need to comfortably live for the week can be brought.
