Dr. Allison McGrath is a former middle school special education teacher. Her teaching experience mostly involved working with individuals with high incidence disabilities. During her 13 years teaching 8th grade special education, Dr. McGrath taught self-contained and co-taught mathematics as well as co-taught science.

At Otterbein, Dr. McGrath teaches undergraduate and graduate courses for individuals seeking an Intervention Specialist licensure. She also teaches Exceptional Children, an introduction to special education course for adolescent education majors. Additionally, Dr. McGrath enjoys connecting with teacher academies in school districts across Ohio to support the development of future teachers.
