Grace McDaniel

Grace McDaniel received her undergraduate degree from Capital University, Columbus, OH in Elementary Education (1-8) with additional certification in Learning Disabilities (K-12), Kindergarten, and Reading (K-12). She received a Master’s Degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH in the area of Educational Leadership and attained a certificate in Supervision. For 11 years, Grace taught Primary LD (Learning Disabilities) at Prairie Norton Elementary for the South-Western City Schools District a later taught 3rd grade classroom with inclusion students in the same school. Grace has vast experience teaching in various settings, including summer programs. She continues to develop professionally by attending numerous conferences and workshops. Her academic career continues as she has completing her PhD at The Ohio State University in the College of Teaching and Learning.

Currently, Grace teaches and supervises/coaches preservice teachers, serves as the Director of Student Teaching and works to provide professional development opportunities for Educators of Color, practicing and preservice teacher candidates. These experiences afford Grace the opportunity to continue to nurture teachers as they work with early childhood students, students from diverse backgrounds, and students with special needs.

During her career, she has conducted many professional workshops, in-service, and study groups on various education-related topics. Grace has had many experiences working with and assisting practicing teachers/college faculty in their own professional development. Most recently, Grace organized and facilitated of a Statewide Educators of Color Network.
