Jane Kidder

Jane Kidder is a Columbus Ohio native. She is a graduate of St. Francis DeSales Highschool. After high school she went on to get her Managing Cosmetology License at Nationwide Beauty Academy. Unfortunately, Jane quickly changed careers due to an allergy to hair products. As luck would have it, the salon that she first worked in needed a Salon Coordinator. She accepted the position and took over marketing, advertising, and bookkeeping. Over the years her real-life education continued as she did accounting and marketing for a local record company, a local homebuilder, a local drapery workroom, and a periodontist office. She has been with the Otterbein University Equine Science Department since spring of 2017. Jane has also recently taken on the Health & Sport Science department’s Academic Administrative Assistant position in spring of 2021. She enjoys the many hats she has worn and continues to wear here at Otterbein. Jane can be quoted as saying, “Working at college is like going to college. There is always something new to learn.”

She is a diehard Buckeye fan and supports the Pittsburgh Steelers; although college football is much more fun to watch! She has been married for over 20 years and has one daughter.
