Julie Saker

Julie Saker has been at Otterbein University for over 20 years. She has served Otterbein students in several positions including Coordinator of Greek Life, Director of Student Conduct and Wellness, Associate Dean of Students; and currently, Dean of Students for Student Affairs.

Saker has over 40 years of professional experience within higher education, having held a wide variety of student affairs leadership positions at Northwestern, Saint Louis, and Washington Universities. Throughout Saker’s career, she has focused on wellness, student activities, alcohol/drug education, student conduct, town-gown relations and crisis intervention.

As Dean of Students, Saker works closely with Counseling Services, University Chaplain, and Title IX (sexual misconduct policies and procedures), as she continues to focus on direct service to students and assistance to faculty/staff and parents.

Saker received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and holds a master’s degree in college student personnel from Miami University.
