Fall 2021 Graduate Lecture Series – “If It Is Broke, Do Fix It” with Hilary Stone

The MBA Program at Otterbein University is hosting a free public lecture by Hilary Stone, donor engagement officer for The Columbus Foundation, at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13, in room 114 of Roush Hall, 27 S. Grove St. The lecture will be preceded by a reception at 5:30 p.m.
The lecture, “If It Is Broke, Do Fix It: Applying Management Concepts to Career, Community, and Life,” will teach attendees some basic management concepts that can be broadly applied to advance a career, better understand and address community needs, and even improve relationships, presented through a series of stories that range from relatable to ridiculous.
An alumna of Otterbein University’s MBA program, Stone works at The Columbus Foundation as a donor engagement officer, managing donor recognition and stewardship activities and working with donors to develop and execute philanthropic plans. Over the course of her career, she has worked in four states across three regions of the United States. Her strengths grew from those moves. She enters every organization, committee, and team with an outsider’s perspective and an insider’s heart, enabling her to identify efficiencies, solve problems, and reinvigorate purpose-driven pursuits. Stone ultimately hopes to advance her community by being a catalyst for change — connecting organizations, people, groups, and companies with the ideas, data, and resources they need to maximize impact.
