Otterbein Accepting Applications for Fall 2022 Beginning Aug. 1

Posted Jul 19, 2021

The Common Application opens Saturday, Aug. 1, and Otterbein is committed to making the application and admission process easier and more affordable for students and families as they navigate their college search process.

Otterbein has adopted a test optional admission and scholarship policy for most programs for Spring, Summer and Fall terms 2021. Students with high school GPA of 2.75 or lower are encouraged to submit a test score if available. Some academic programs and courses may require an ACT/SAT score, placement score or additional pre-requisite courses for enrollment.

“Admission to Otterbein is based on a student’s overall potential for academic success. Decisions are made after a holistic review of grades and other criteria,” said Executive Director of Admission Mark Moffitt. “Students are also considered for the unique talents and contributions they will offer the Otterbein community.”

Moffitt understands families are facing a major life decision with attending college, but he wants them to know Otterbein is ready to support them through their application process.

“Otterbein will be here to help students and their families in any way we can. We want this experience to be as important and exciting as it should be,” he said.

Otterbein is also waiving all application fees to ensure our commitment to affordability stays strong during these times of economic hardships for students and families.

“Otterbein is putting access and affordability first,” said Otterbein University President John Comerford. “We are solidifying our commitment to college affordability and access to all students who seek a higher education in these challenging times.”
