The Otterbein community should tune into HBO/Max on Thursday, Nov. 14, for the finale of “Roller Jam,” the first roller-skating competition show, to see Marshon Shepard ’25 perform with his team, Haus of Sk8.

The competition started with 10 teams from across the country. The top four are competing in the finale.

A communication major, Shepard shows off his skating skills (and platinum hair) alongside three other members of the all-Black, gay skating team. Haus of Sk8 is known for their viral skating videos online, and the team was recently featured in an article in Gaye Magazine.

Regarding the finale, Shepard simply said, “I can’t wait for everyone to see the finale it’ll definitely be a treat!”
