The Otterbein University Department of Theatre and Dance presents “The Trojan Women” at 7:30 p.m. from Oct. 23-25 and Oct. 31-Nov. 1 in the Campus Center Theatre, 100 W. Home St., Westerville. Tickets cost $22. Call 614-823-1109 or visit www.otterbein.edu/drama.
Adapted by Ellen McLaughlin, “The Trojan Women” is widely regarded as the first and greatest of all anti-war plays. This gripping, timeless, and powerful drama depicts the aftermath of the Trojan War, centering on the conquered women of Troy. Even in the face of unimaginable suffering and loss, these unforgettable women evince great resiliency of spirit.
Note: “The Trojan Women” will portray acts of gendered violence, and references to suicide.
The box office is open 12-4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday. It is located in Cowan Hall, 30 S. Grove St., Westerville. Student Rush discounts are available one hour prior to curtain, pending ticket availability.
