Otterbein Early Music Ensemble to Present “A Spring Bouquet” 

Westerville, OH—Students and community members of the Otterbein University Early Music Ensemble will present a concert, “A Spring Bouquet,” at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, in Riley Auditorium at the Battelle Fine Arts Center, 170 W. Park Street. This event is free and open to the public. The musical selections draw upon the many references in early music compositions to flowers, gardens, birds, animals and love. Performing groups include the recorder consort, viola da gamba consort and solos for organ, harp and lute. Otterbein Student Composers to Hold Recital

Otterbein Wind Ensemble with Special Guest, the Westerville Concert Band

Westerville, OH—The Otterbein University Wind Ensemble will present its final concert of the academic year at 8 p.m. on Monday, April 16, in the Fritsche Theatre at Cowan Hall, 30 S. Grove Street. This event is free and open to the public. The Wind Ensemble will be joined by the Westerville Concert Band, under the direction of Larry Klabunde and Victoria Straub. The combined programming of these two ensembles represents a delightful cross-section of concert band literature, including orchestral transcriptions, time-honored staples of the band repertoire, and contemporary writing. Established in 1989, the Westerville Concert Band provides a venue for dedicated area musicians to share their love of music and to present the highest quality of music performance, appreciation, and entertainment for the Central Ohio community.
