Otterbein Scholarship Supports Families of Military Service Members and First Responders

In 2020, Otterbein University awarded its first scholarship in partnership with Folds of Honor. Now, along with Folds of Honor, Otterbein is expanding the program to include not only military families, but families of first responders. The Otterbein Honoring Service Scholarship for Folds of Honor and Ohio War Orphans recipients demonstrates Otterbein’s commitment to those who serve the nation by providing $19,000 toward an undergraduate degree, renewable for four years. What’s it Like to Win a National Equine Championship?

In Spring 2022, Otterbein University’s dressage and hunt seat equine teams recently wrapped up strong finishes to their first competition seasons in three years. The dressage team won the Intercollegiate Dressage Association’s (IDA) national championship on April 24 — the team’s second consecutive title. On the individual level, two of the dressage team’s four riders took first place in their respective levels. Speech and Debate Team Shows Strong Return to In-Person Competition

Otterbein’s Speech and Debate Team returned to in-person competition with an exciting weekend of wins. The tournament, held at Otterbein on Oct. 8, had 11 schools participate with a total of 45 debates and 35 speech competitors.
