David Riepenhoff

David is a Part-Time Instructor of the course “The Legal Environment of Business”. He has been teaching at Otterbein since 2006 and has also taught courses on Ethical Leadership and Communications & Negotiations.
David is a Full-Time attorney. He is Member of Fishel Downey Albrecht & Riepenhoff, LLC in New Albany, Ohio. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio and State of South Carolina and before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, and both U.S. District Courts in Ohio. He has also been admitted pro hac vice to litigate cases for clients outside of Ohio. David practices civil litigation, labor and employment law, local government law, civil rights law and business law. David has tried jury and bench trials to both federal and state courts, and has argued before the Ohio Supreme Court, U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals and numerous Ohio Appellate Courts and agencies. He is also the Solicitor for the Village of Valleyview (Franklin County, Ohio).
David is an active community volunteer. He currently serves as the Chairperson of the Delaware County Public Defender Commission. David also volunteers as an assistant cross-country and track & field coach at St. Paul School, and Assistant Scout Master with Boy Scout Troop 85 (Westerville, OH). He is a past President, Vice President, Treasurer and Committee Chair of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Development Board.
David graduated from Otterbein College in 1999, where he was a member of the Track & Field and Cross Country teams, and was a member of several campus organizations, including Student Senate, Judicial Appeals Council, and both academic and social fraternities as well as National Honor Societies.
