Assistant Professor
Department of Health & Sport Sciences

Dr. Emily Post earned her doctoral degree in Kinesiology with an Exercise Physiology concentration and Neuroscience minor.  Dr. Post completed her master’s degree of Kinesiology, Recreation, and Sport Studies with an Exercise Physiology concentration at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She completed her B.S. In Exercise Science with a minor in Biology at Ohio Dominican University.

She also holds her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Her primary research interests focus on the impacts of exercise (i.e., resistance training) on people with Down syndrome. Her lab examines quality of life, motor skill, cognition, strength, body composition, mood, among other variables. She and his students have worked on many research projects which have been presented at both state and national conferences.
