Kirsten Crotte joined Otterbein University in 2004 as a financial aid counselor and has since dedicated more than two decades to advancing student success and seeking opportunities to promote access and affordability. A native of Fairborn, Ohio, she holds a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Ohio University and a Master of Business Administration from Otterbein University.
Before joining Otterbein, Kirsten’s career began in IT, specializing in application development. She transitioned into higher education in 2001 as a financial aid counselor at Wright State University. Her commitment to support students and her passion for the mission of financial aid have guided her career in higher education
Through the years, she has served in a variety of roles at Otterbein, including as systems analyst and project manager, senior associate director, and senior director of Student Financial Aid. She currently serves as the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Data and Operations, leading data-driven initiatives and strategic operations to support institutional enrollment goals.
Kirsten is an engaged campus leader, having served as president of Staff Assembly while also contributing her expertise to numerous University committees including Mission and Values, Curriculum, Senate, Total Compensation, and the Budget Committee.
She is a graduate of the College Board’s Enrollment Leadership Academy (2014), reflecting her commitment to professional development and leadership in the field. With 21 years of dedicated service to Otterbein, Kirsten strives to be a trusted leader and advocate for students.
