Lauren Lane

Recruiter
Department of Equine Science

Lauren grew up near Chicago and was fully immersed in the hunter/jumper world from a young age. Otterbein’s Equestrian Team is what brought her to Ohio and she graduated with a Marketing degree from Otterbein in 2021. Since then, the Otterbein barn has become her second home as she holds many positions under one roof. She is one of Otterbein’s Riding Instructors, teaching many levels of hunter/jumper and basic dressage. She is also the Recruiter for the Equestrian Team and Equine Science Department, traveling around the country talking with prospective students and gaining recognition for the program. Lauren has also been an Otterbein Equine Camp Counselor since 2021 and has since then became Head Camp Counselor. On top of all that, she puts in many hours with the Interscholastic Equestrian Association’s (IEA) Marketing Office and you can often find her taking photos and creating graphics for their social media. When she’s not busy with all of her jobs, she enjoys riding her horse, playing polo, hiking new trails, joining yoga classes, completing her second degree in Psychology, and spending time with family and friends.
