Mark Moffitt joined Otterbein University in 1997 as an admission counselor and has since held numerous leadership roles within Enrollment Management. With a strong commitment to access and affordability, he has spent his career helping students achieve their educational and personal goals.
With 30 years of experience in higher education, Mark brings a proven track record in recruitment strategy and marketing. He is recognized for his strategic thinking and collaborative leadership, which have contributed to Otterbein’s overall strength and sustainability.
In his current role, Mark leads the Offices of Undergraduate Admission, Adult and Transfer Admission, and International Admission. He is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of all new students, aligning efforts with the University’s enrollment goals. Through collaboration with campus partners and the Office of Marketing and Communications, he develops and implements effective recruitment and yield strategies.
Mark is also a key contributor to the early work of the Coalition for the Common Good, a first-of-its kind national coalition of universities co-founded by Otterbein University. His efforts include assisting with the transition of Otterbein graduate programs while also advancing new undergraduate opportunities through the Graduate Early Admission Pathways program. His commitment to student success and innovation continues to advance Otterbein’s inclusive and forward-thinking enrollment practices.
An engaged member of the Otterbein community, Mark has served on various University committees, including the Strategic Enrollment Management Action Group, University Senate, Total Compensation Committee, and the Institutional Effectiveness Committee. He also served on the College Board Midwestern Regional Council from 2018 to 2021.
Mark holds both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ohio University. Now in his 28th year at Otterbein, he remains dedicated to the continued growth and development of the university and its students.
