Dr. Robert Braun completed his doctoral degree in Health Education at the University of Toledo. He earned his M.P.H. in Health Promotion/Disease Prevention from George Washington University and a B.S. in Allied Health Professions from The Ohio State University.

He also holds the CHES (Certified Health Education Specialist) credential and is a Registered Respiratory Therapist. His research is focused on health disparities among communities of color. He and his students have worked on many research projects which have been presented at both state and national conferences.

For the past three years, Dr. Braun and two former students developed a board game called Our World and the Social Determinants of Health. Our World is an interactive board game that is used to educate students, professionals, and community members about the social determinants of health, which currently affect many economically challenged and communities of color. His goal is also to educate individuals about health equity and the health disparities that exist among these communities.

Currently, Dr. Braun resides in Westerville with his wife, Kawaki, and daughter, Victoria.
