Semih Cal, Ph.D. received his Bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University. After completing his undergraduate studies, he worked in the industry in Istanbul, Turkey, for 1.5 years. He then moved to Youngstown, Ohio, where he earned his Master’s degree from Youngstown State University. Dr. Cal completed his Ph.D. at Texas Tech University, specializing in wireless communication networks, energy-efficient algorithms, and federated learning for IoT and drone networks.
