William Manke

Part-Time Faculty in Art
Art

William Manke is a working artist and part-time faculty member. His work is kinetic in nature, with moving pieces and parts that add a little of the unexpected. Asking how a piece can become more than its original concept, he allows ideas to build upon themselves into a new whole, which he refines over time into its perfect self.

He enjoys making work that interacts with the public, starting with a wow moment that lets the idea sink in over time. He creates objects and situations that bring viewers together.

He received a BFA in Sculpture at Kent State University in 2011, and is currently a Working Artist and Product Developer with Uncommon Goods, based in New York.
