Make a Difference for Otterbein Students

Otterbein’s smart, new personal and career preparation program guides every student through a four-year road map to ensure they feel READY to land their future goals. Every year, Otterbein dedicates an entire day for students to attend seminars and workshops, as well as department, graduate school and career fairs, in order to foster student preparation for their post-Otterbein goals.

Our inaugural READY Day in 2025 was a huge success! A snapshot of the day included:

2,097 Students

Participated in READY Day 2025

105 Employers

Met with students seeking jobs

150 Alumni

Volunteered their time and expertise

25 Graduate Schools

as well as 60 civic organizations and non-profits attended

For Alumni

Otterbein Alumni are invited to share their expertise and encouragement in developing the next generation of Cardinal talent at READY Day.

Are you interested in helping the next flock of Cardinals get READY to land their next great internship, job, or acceptance to a professional or graduate program? The Office of Alumni Engagement is inviting alumni and parent volunteers to join this all-campus event that will serve Otterbein’s student body.

We have opportunities customized to your preference, time commitments vary and evening participation is available. There are many ways to get involved including:

  • Share your expertise on a panel or a workshop
  • Help with mock interviews
  • Network with students
  • Volunteer to assist “behind the scenes” with things like registration tables,
    room monitors, and parking
  • Consider a READY Day Sponsorship to help support the impact of this day
Please fill out the form and let us know how you would like to help.

I feel like this is a great opportunity to fill students in on what life looks like after college and just how many different paths you can have.
