Curriculum and assessment are opposite sides of the same coin.

We design our undergraduate and graduate curricula to promote student learning, and when we assess student learning, we realize how to make improvements to our curriculum. Our University Learning Goals tie the two together – they are our guiding principles for curriculum design and our “accountability system” for student learning.
