FOL VIP Event & Open Doors to America Archives Feature

Celebrate “Open Doors to America” and join us for a Friends only VIP event at the Library! We will be serving tea and sweets, giving a “behind the scenes” tour of the Library, and hosting an in-person FOL meeting in which we will vote on new Board members. Stick around for a tour of the Archives by Stephen Grinch as a part of the “Open Doors” program from 6-8p!

The Otterbein University Archives at the Courtright Memorial Library holds the history of the University, as well as materials related to its founder, the United Brethren in Christ Church. Open Doors visitors will see behind-the-scenes in the archives, connect Otterbein University’s history to our nation’s 250-year history, and learn about the University’s namesake, Phillip William Otterbein, on the 300th anniversary of his birth. The Archives maintains a collection of historic documents, photographs, artifacts, and publications that reflect the history of Otterbein students, faculty, staff, administration, and alumni, as well as materials pertaining to the United Brethren Church, and its successors, the Evangelical United Brethren and United Methodist Churches.
