Game Afternoon on January 17th!

Posted Jan 04, 2024

Reflecting the desire for more afternoon programming around campus, the library will be hosting a game afternoon on the second floor of the library on January 17th, 3pm-6pm. You asked and we listened! The game afternoon will feature board games from the library’s games collection, as well as pizza being available for participants. This is a drop-in-as-able program, so don’t worry if you have class when we start!

The second floor of the library. There are a lot of wooden tables in the photo, each with a group of students sitting at them, playing games.

The library has over 75 board games available to checkout, ranging from classics like Monopoly and Clue to modern board games like Azul and Wingspan. They also have lots of video games and several TTRPG systems. There is something for everyone! The library has put together a helpful Libguide that organizes the board games into their difficulty level, but it also includes the average playtime for each game and how many players the game can play so that you can make a swift selection of what you want to play. If any game is of interest to you but you can’t make the Game Night, the library is also willing to set up a time with you to teach you the game by contacting Kirsten (peninger@otterbein.edu).
