Welcome to 2021 – a time to work together, develop and grow.

Posted Feb 18, 2021

As poet Amanda Gorman said at President Biden’s inauguration on Jan. 20, “There is always light if only we are brave enough to see it, if only we are brave enough to be it.”

We have all been waiting for 2021, and now it is here. It seems like the start of 2021 will continue to be somewhat of a “wait and see” scenario — we will wait for the COVID numbers to flatten, for the vaccine to arrive and become accessible to every individual, and to see how our economy responds. We will wait through strength and move bravely forward.

Otterbein’s Graduate School is proudly serving those that strive for personal growth in 2021 and beyond. Spring registration is strong, with more students (up 3%) taking more classes (up 8.5%) than the year before! Such success, attributable to the tireless work of our faculty and staff (both on campus and remotely), will guide and inspire Otterbein to bravely encourage new and returning students to contribute positively to their workplaces and communities, providing relevant and pertinent education.

You represent the quality of our programs in your work and lives every day. Please join us in spreading the word — NOW is the time for ongoing education, personal growth, and graduate study at Otterbein.

– Dr. Barbara Schaffner, Associate Provost of Graduate Studies
