Kim began her career as an EHS Specialist with Safex in January of 2016. She is an alumnus of Otterbein University with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and minors in Earth Science and Sustainability Studies. Kim earned her Associate Safety Professional® (ASP®) designation in 2018. She completed the OSHA 10-hr for General Industry in 2016 and earned the 40-hr HAZWOPER certification in January 2018. While at Safex, she has also completed 8-hr training for both RCRA and DOT.

Kim is experienced in industrial hygiene monitoring, OSHA and EPA regulatory compliance as well as versed in environmental monitoring procedures. At Safex, Kim performs industrial hygiene evaluations such as indoor air quality, mold assessments and inhalation exposure assessments for silica, particulates, metals and various chemicals.

Kim’s environmental experience includes SWPPP, SPCC and RCRA Hazardous Waste Training, as well as conducting hazardous waste audits and air emission source evaluations. Kim has helped multiple large industrial and manufacturing facilities complete Tier II and TRI Reports, Hazardous Waste profiles, Chemical Inventories and EPA Biennial Reports. She strives to identify strategies and solutions to meet company’s environmental objectives.

Kim currently facilitates the community service initiative at Safex, tracking service hours and helping to identify local organizations to contribute to. She also tends to the annual Safex garden.
