Tony is a two-time graduate of Otterbein, earning both a bachelor’s in Communication in 2015 and a Master’s in Allied Health in 2018. In the short time since his finished his master’s degree, Tony’s drive and interest in public service has led him to public policy roles in Ohio and around the world. He served as a legislative aide in the Ohio House of Representatives and as a fellow with Chairman Hakeem Jeffries in the Congressional Black Caucus for the U.S. House of Representatives. As a member of the Emerging Leaders delegation for the Congressional Black Caucus, Tony traveled to Japan to better understand the country and establish bridges of diplomacy between the United States. and Japan. For seven months, he was stationed in the U.S. Liaison Office in Brussels for the European Parliament. Tony was recently named the Executive Director of the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus, which seeks to promote, foster, and sponsor education, civic, and political activities that enrich and improve African American communities across the state of Ohio. Tony’s strong communication skills, energy, and compassion have led him to be an emerging leader in the field of public service. We look forward to seeing all the good work he will do for Ohioans in his new role.
