Alexander More, Class of 1953

Alexander More, ‘53 died September 3, 2021. Alex was born July 5, 1930 to the late Alexander and Nina More. He graduated from Otterbein College with a BS in Physical Education, and was a US Army veteran. During his time at Otterbein, Alex was a part of the baseball team, football team, “O” Club, and was a member of Zeta Phi (Zeta) fraternity. After attending Otterbein, Alex attended graduate school at the University of Akron and received a Master of Science. Up until his retirement from Akron Public Schools in 1983, Alex was a teacher, coach and principal at Roswell Kent Junior High, Innes Junior High and Thornton Junior High.

Preceded in death by parents, Alexander and Nina More; and wife, Hilda More. Alex is survived by his brother, Peter More; nieces and nephews, Joyce, Jackie, Keith, Melissa, Leslie, Pete and David; great-nieces and nephews, Jenny, Jordan, Connor, Christian, Zachary, Hunter, Reagan, Kayle, Kristin, Austin and Ian; and many more.
