Brenton Chivington, Class of 1969

Brenton Chivington ‘69 died September 20, 2022. Brent was born on August 1st, 1946 to the late Ivan and Beatrice (Sweigart) Chivington. He graduated from St. Mary’s Memorial High School in 1964 and went on to study at Otterbein University, graduating in 1969 with a degree in History. At Otterbein, he was a member of the choir. Brenton had a 30-year career in banking. He enjoyed cheering on The Ohio State University football team and playing or watching golf.
Brent is proceeded in death by his sister, Linda Chivington. He is survived by his wife, Amy (Doan) Chivington ‘69; brother David (Chris) Chivington; children, Eric (Jackie) Chivington and Emily (Greg) Mack; and grandchildren Jacob, Julia, Gavin Bockenstette, Ivan, Kate, Lucy, Caci, Nora, and Anna Chivington.
Also surviving are brother-in-law Edward Doan ’67, sister-in-law Deborah Doan Davis ’74 and niece Meghan Kilbury Davis ’08.
