Cara Ettenhofer, Class of 1991

Cara Aileen Ettenhofer ’91 died Dec. 21, 2020. She was born in Bryan, Ohio, on March 7,1969 the daughter of the late Rev. Arnold and Carol Ettenhofer. She was a 1987 graduate of Heath High and Otterbein College with a degree in Education and a member of the Epsilon Kappa Tau (Arbutus) sorority.

Cara was a dedicated teacher for 29 years with 23 of these in the Lakewood School District. She was a loyal friend to many. She loved spending time in her new home, swimming with family, cooking for friends, attending family celebrations and teaching. Cara touched the lives of hundreds of children in her 29 years of teaching but most of all her family and friends.

Cara is survived by her significant other Dana Franklin; brothers Arnie ’78 (Sherrie) Ettenhofer, Mark (LeeAnn) Ettenhofer, Roger Ettenhofer, and John ’95 (Lee) Ettenhofer; sisters Vicki ’75 Ettenhofer and Janell (Jim) Coffman; twelve nieces and nephews and twelve great nieces and nephews.
