Carole Kreider Bullis, Class of 1956

Carole Kreider Bullis ’56 died Jan. 17, 2019. Carole was born on Oct. 10, 1936 in Dayton, Ohio. She graduated from Stivers High School in Dayton and Otterbein University in 1956. During her time at Otterbein, Carole was a member of Epsilon Kappa Tau sorority and the “Garst Goons”, a group of girls who roomed in the old Garst Cottage. While at Otterbein Carole met her husband fellow alumnus, John Bullis ’56. Carole spent most of her life raising her family. She was a devoted supporter of all things Otterbein, be it athletics, theatre, the library, or the Otterbein Archives. She was a continuing volunteer and financial contributor and a member of the Joan Van Sant Society. Carole and her family established the Otterbein Bullis/ Kreider Endowed Fund for Communication students pursuing their educational dreams.

Carole is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jerry Kreider. She is survived by her husband, John Bullis ’56; sons, John Douglas ’81, Craig ’83 (daughter-in-law, Paula Raymond Bullis ’83), and Timothy ’90; seven grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
