Carole Lincoln Grandstaff, Class of 1955

Carole Lincoln Grandstaff ’55 died November 30, 2022. She was born on April 4, 1933 in Donora, PA, to the late Helen Boyd Lincoln and Donald Lincoln.
Carole graduated from Otterbein College Westerville, OH in 1955 with a degree in English. While at Otterbein she was involved in the Tan & Cardinal, Quiz & Quill publications staff and Sigma Alpha Tau (Owls) sorority. She also met her 1st husband Robert Gilmour ’50 at Otterbein. After moving to Fort Lauderdale, Fl, she started as a Home Bound teacher for Broward County School System, eventually becoming an administrator. She received an honorary MA degree in 1973 from Florida Atlantic University.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughters, Cynthia Gilmour Sander and Lisa Gilmour as well as her second husband Ray Grandstaff.
She is survived by her grandson, Brandon Sander; her two sisters, Dawn Rehnstrom (Gus) and Kay Horn Jordan,
as well as several nephews and nieces.
