Daniel Aumiller ’70 died April 27, 2021. Dan was born in Lewistown, on Feb. 4, 1943, to the late Arthur and Hazel (Hood) Aumiller.

Dan moved to Westerville at the age of 18 to attend college at Otterbein where he was involved in the Pi Beta Sigma (Pi Sig) fraternity. He went on to Xavier University to obtain his Masters degree. He lived in Westerville until his passing.
Dan taught at Hanby Elementary School and later at Heritage Middle School as a science teacher. He also owned the Aumiller Gun Shop from 1974-2013 and later owned the historic Holmes Hotel in uptown Westerville in 1994.

Dan is survived by his wife Carol (Hughes); sons Wade ’90 (Gilda ’92) and Trent, daughter Alicia (Jon), granddaughters Ariana, Alexandria, and Natalie, grandsons Ryan and Henry. He is survived by his sisters Gail Aumiller (Thomas), Beth Aumiller, and Jan (John) Szeerba.

In addition to his parents, Dan is preceded in death by his son Seth.
